2015-10-0465th Canadian Chemical Engineering Conference

| On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the Canadian Chemical Engineering Conference it will be our great pleasure to welcome you to the heart of the West, Calgary, Alberta. This is a special event for chemical engineer

CALGARY, AB OCTOBER 4-7, 2015

The theme Shaping Energy Technology for the Future will include a focus on greener technologies, water, and environment. The four plenary lecturers will complement the six CSChE award winners giving special lectures. We will also celebrate two giants of chemical engineering with special sessions planned for Professor Raj Bishnoi and Professor Robert Heidemann, to honor their significant lifelong contributions. Also planned are special symposia on Heavy Oil and Oil Sands, and Process Safety and Loss Management, and Carbon Capture, Transportation and Storage, bringing together top international experts in these fields.

There will be over 1,500 national and international chemical engineering researchers present to enhance scientific understanding and technical innovation providing a discussion forum for the world-wide community of engineers and scientists. New for 2015 will be a podium poster competition for select graduate students, allowing them to showcase their research.

We would like to recognize the hard-working organizing and technical program committees, and thank the University of Calgary for their support and commitment to the conference. We hope to inspire you by exploring how we can use chemical engineering to make the world better than it was before in an environmentally friendly way.

Calgary is known for its hard-working spirit, a penchant for speculation, and a can-do attitude, as well as for oil, trade, and the Calgary Stampede. You will find many Calgarians who will give you a warm traditional welcome of “Howdy”, but the city is also named the Cultural Capital of Canada and has a very diverse mix of cultures, art and industries. We hope that you will have a chance to enjoy our city

We look forward to seeing you in Calgary!
